About this Program: Opening Doors Through Education
DHAA’s College Visit Program provides local high school students with direct exposure to higher education opportunities. Each year, a group of students participates in guided campus visits designed to broaden awareness, build confidence, and encourage long-term academic goals.
In addition to college exposure, DHAA offers scholarship support to help ease financial barriers and promote continued educational advancement. We believe that access to information and opportunity can shape the trajectory of a student’s future.
What We’re Up Against
Many students lack access to firsthand exposure to college environments and the guidance needed to navigate higher education pathways. For first-generation or immigrant families, the process can feel unfamiliar and overwhelming. Without early exposure and encouragement, talented students may limit their own aspirations simply because they have not seen what is possible. Our program works to close that gap by providing experience, insight, and tangible support.
